The Level 3 Award in First Aid at Work meets The Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981 in respect of First Aid at Work and is aimed at individuals who intend to develop and gain formal recognition of their knowledge, understanding and skills of first aid at work.
This 3 day course will familiarise students with the roles and responsibilities of the First Aider, including assessing an incident, recognising signs and symptoms of injury and illness, and assisting a casualty who is suffering from bleeding, shock, injury, illness, poisoning and anaphylaxis.
Students will learn and be assessed on their practical ability to deal with casualties who have stopped breathing, are unconscious, are bleeding and suffering from shock.Who Should Attend?
Anyone who wants to gain a formal first aid qualification or has been identified as requiring First Aid at Work during their employer's first aid risk assessment.
First Aid at Work is designed for people who want to comprehensive training in first aid and is especially suited for nominated first aiders in larger or high risk working environments.
